Before the event...
- We recommend subscribing to email listervs from NYS and local authorities to receive alerts/updates/notifications concerning COVID-19 requirements.
- All clients, guests, and vendors should also:
- Review guidance on preventing the spread
- Monitor symptoms of COVID-19.
- Stay home when appropriate.
- Anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 should immediately notify the state/local health department, as well as anyone at the venue.
- Anyone who has traveled outside the U.S. or visited a state with a high-surge of COVID-19 cases 14-days prior to the event should stay home and seek COVID-19 testing.

- Clients should work with their caterer to review the NYS Reopening Food Service Checklist and the NYS Safety Plan Template.

Guidelines at the venue
PHYSICAL DISTANCING
Physical distancing of 6ft. must be maintained inside and outside the venue with the exception of groups from the same household.

OCCUPANY
- The venue's Main Hall capacity will be 50 guests (not including vendors working events).
- Occupancy for the Kitchen and Upstairs space will also be reduced in capacity.
- Signs to direct crowd flow and physical distancing markers on the ground in areas people may congregate or wait in a line for areas of the venue where social distancing is difficult to maintain.
- Equipment including tables, chairs, catering buffet, bar, etc. must be arranged to facilitate physical distancing guidelines of 6ft.
PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
- Please review NYS GUIDANCE ON FACE COVERINGS
- Guests inside the venue will be required to wear face coverings except for being seated for dining during the event.
- Vendors must wear face coverings anytime they are interacting with guests and abide to other industry-specific requirements for protective equipment and face coverings.
- ALL - Face coverings should also be worn in common areas whenever it is difficult to maintain 6ft of distance (i.e. doorways, stairways, hallways, bathroom, etc.)
HYGIENE & CLEANING
To ensure the safety of the everyone at the event we will require that:
Anyone who has experienced COVID-19 symptoms (including: fever, cough, shortness of breathe/difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea) should stay home.
To ensure the safety of the everyone at the event we will require that:
- A professional cleaning service will ensure objects/surfaces are properly disinfected between booking periods for events.
- Additional cleanings can be scheduled for clients but will come at an additional cost of $200 per cleaning.
- If caterers use the Brickhall's plate-ware provided they will be responsible for cleaning and returning materials after use or else an additional cleaning fee may incur.
- Clients, guests, and vendors use good hand hygiene before/after contact (i.e. wash hands, use hand sanitizer, etc.) with shared objects or surfaces.
- If there is a need to touch a shared object or surface either gloves should be worn or those surfaces/objects should be immediately cleaned after use.
- Bathrooms and the kitchen will be stocked with cleaning supplies for people to wipe sink and other areas touched.
- Vendors will be responsible for being aware of how the venue space is supplied for hand hygiene and cleaning as well as abiding to their own industries standards.
- The venue will also have additional hand sanitizer stations available for all to use in promotion of hand-hygeine.
Anyone who has experienced COVID-19 symptoms (including: fever, cough, shortness of breathe/difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea) should stay home.
- Plan how to isolate and transport someone (home or to a health care facility) who has visible COVID-19 symptoms.
After the event...
Clients & Vendors should still follow the expectations in the Brickhall booking agreement for post-event responsibilities including:
- Take down all decorations
- Dispose of any remaining trash (including food or beverage items).
- Note and report any damages to the doors, lights, etc.
- Check thermostat: select “cancel hold” if it was adjusted
- Check vents from the Main Hall floor are opened
- Inside lights have been turned off
- Check that all 3 doors are locked
- Return keys to lockboxes
- Take the 3 kitchen trash bags from cans to the dumpster.
- Clean & Empty the Refrigerator
- Make sure the Upper Room lights are off.
